Goodbye Notch, Hello Cleavage! Oppo teases the F9 and F9 Pro!

I don’t know if will officially be called a “cleavage” but based on the photos Oppo released yesterday its upcoming F9 series has ditched the notch in favor of a triangle-shaped indentation.

Or they may call it a WaterDrop Screen based on the description they posted on Facebook.

Besides the tiny notch the Pro image shows a totally size bezel-less screen and only a small chin at the bottom which probably means that the fingerprint scanner will remain on the back.

On the back, the Oppo F9 Pro will have a dual camera setup in a horizontal layout. Even more interesting is that its back panel will also now come in a color gradient that changes from red through pink to violet, which they are calling Sunrise Red.

Finally there OPPO’s super fast proprietary fast charging solution called VOOC, which they usually reserve for their upper midrange and Find series. The last time it made an appearance on an F-branded smartphone was in 2017 in the F3 Plus. It supports a total output of 20W and should fill half the battery in 30 minutes.
