With a DXOMark Score of 105, the Xiaomi Mi 8 immediately got the attention it deserves from smartphone photographers. Besting even the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus' 104, and just a little below the P20's 107, and the HTC U12+'s 106, the Mi 8, however, has a price tag that beats all the top smartphones on the list.
The Mi 8 has a a 12MP dual AI camera on the back and a 20MP front camera that uses pixel binning technology to combine information from four pixels to create one large 1.8μm pixel for clearer photos in low light.
Powered by the red-hot Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, Mi 8 offers stunning performance justified by an AnTuTu score of more than 30,000. Mi 8 is also the first phone in the world to have dual frequency GPS that offers extremely accurate navigation.
Mi 8 features a four-sided curved glass back panel, aviation-grade aluminum frame and a 2.5D glass screen. It sports a 6.21-inch FHD+ Samsung AMOLED full screen display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio and 86.68% screen-to-body ratio.
Mi 8 will be available on August 3. The 6GB + 64GB version of Mi 8 comes with a price tag of Php 25,990, making it the most pocket-friendly smartphone driven by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. The 6GB+128GB version of Mi 8 will be available at Php 27,990.
